Melissa Ferrick Shares New Video For "I Don't Want You To Change"

Melissa Ferrick has debuted "I Don't Want You To Change". Directed by Ro Rowan and Melissa Ferrick, the video is the second official music video from her new album the truth is, available now on MPress Records. Ferrick, who just launched a Vine contest to promote the video, has confirmed more U.S. tour dates throughout Fall and Winter of this year. Confirmed dates below or visit: http://melissaferrick.com/shows.

Made in collaboration between Ro Rowan and Melissa Ferrick, the new video is a simple, yet powerful embodiment of Ferrick's concept to "reflect the lyric by aiming that lyric at myself", show the depths of interpersonal relationships and the willingness to embrace a partner at face value, flaws and all. Ferrick explains, "The song has this incessant repetition in the chorus, and, for me, creates a sense of comfort, much like a repetitive rocking motion soothes and comforts a child. Though I'm singing to someone—I don't want you to change—I believe it's not lost on the viewer that I'm actually directing those words at myself."
