Late summer indicates release anniversaries, over the 10 year mark, for three of Rachael Sage's seminal albums; Smashing the Serene (7/28/1998), Ballads & Burlesque (8/4/2004), and Public Record (8/5/2003).
Sage's sixth release, "Ballads & Burlesque" which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, boasts this quote from Rolling Stone: “Genuine talent… Sage has a knack for writing melodies that will break your heart without making you feel manipulated in the process… Where there’s poignancy there’s also subtlety, unforced passion and knowing observation”.
"Public Record", featuring Sage's most wildly popular song, "Frost", will have its 11th anniversary this August. Indie tastemaker publication PASTE Magazine called it “Wildly expressive…moody, edgy folk”.
"Smashing The Serene", Sage's second album, turns 'Sweet 16' and is home to fan-favorites including "Sistersong", "Bruises Without Blue" and "Down My Spine", which was recently featured on Lifetime TV's "Dance Moms".
